Francesco De Rubertis, PhD, CFA

Francesco De Rubertis, Partner in Index Ventures, joined the fund in 1997, further building the firms life sciences practice as well as expanding Indexs network within the scientific community. He has led Index Ventures in identifying, investing in and partnering with outstanding life sciences teams including 7TM Pharma, Genmab, Cellzome, Structural GenonmiX and Ingenium and represents Index Ventures on several boards. Prior to joining Index, Francesco De Rubertis conducted post-doctoral research in Genetics at the Whitehead Institute (MIT). Author of several scientific publications, he holds a PhD in Molecular Biology from University of Geneva, and a BA in Genetics and Microbiology from University of Pavia and is also a CFA charter holder.
